YES Prep North Central Elementary opened August 2020 as one of the first two inaugural elementary schools for YES Prep. The school is located near YES Prep North Central Secondary (serving grades 6th - 12th), a nationally recognized school. YES Prep North Central Elementary is open to students entering grades prekindergarten through fifth grade for the 2023-2024 school year.
We believe in creating pathways to opportunity, to empowered communities, to success that isn’t solely defined by test scores but by a student’s ability to recognize their own value. YES Prep Public Schools is proving that different outcomes are possible when Houston communities are given access to high-quality educational opportunities. We encourage parents to apply as soon as the lottery window opens
to have the best chance to attend a YES Prep school.
Our Application Process
October 14 − February 13
We strongly encourage parents to apply during this timeframe to allow your child to have the best chance to attend YES Prep!
All applications that are submitted after February 13 will be automatically waitlisted in the order they are received.
February 16-17
Applicants are selected at random for admission to YES Prep.
February 22
Families receive notice if they have been accepted to or waitlisted for YES Prep.
If accepted, families will begin the registration process.
What's new for the 2023-2024 lottery application?
SchoolMint Enroll:
YES Prep has launched a new enrollment platform, SchoolMint Enroll. This platform brings a sleek look and a smoother application process for parents/guardians. Both new to YES Prep and existing families will need to create a new login to apply. Check out our video series on how to get started. SchoolMint Enroll provides an innovative fresh experience and allows YES Prep additional ways to communicate about the enrollment process.
