Parents let's not only acknowledge the hard work your kids are putting in but also encourage them to keep building their stamina and thinking about strategies to overcome challenges. It's about more than just studying; it's about developing resilience and problem-solving skills that will serve them well beyond the classroom. So let's keep the momentum going, supporting them every step of the way!

  • PreK- 92.31%

    Kinder- 90.63%

    1st- 91.97%

    2nd- 92.03%

    3rd- 91.41%

    4th- 96.06%

    5th- 95.08%

  • TOTAL ATTENDANCE 92.89%

On Wednesday, May 1st students will take the STAAR, there will be NO early pick-ups or visitors.

Please plan accordingly.

Friendly reminder that we are NOT releasing students from the front office unless:

  • They are walkers.
  • Family does not have the physical purple tag (if it has been lost or misplaced, you can request a new set for $5).
  • They have a pickup arrangement.
  • They are being picked up from the nurse’s office.

Reminder!

Families, Math STAAR is this week, please ensure students are on time! Every child should bring the following:

  • Their charged laptop and charger
  • Headphones
  • A light jacket
  • A water bottle (optional)
  • A quiet snack (optional)

Many students have either lost or broken their laptop chargers. This means they do not have an opportunity to work on Imagine Learning, Typing Club, or Study Island at home or over the weekends. From now until the STAAR, Circle, and MAP tests, this is one of the key ways students have differentiated practice before taking their exams. Study Island is aligned to STAAR, Imagine Learning is aligned to MAP, and students receive feedback on their practice problems to help them improve.

Please ask your student if he/she has a laptop charger. If your child does not have a charger, you can either buy one from the school for $25 or you can get one on your own.

Right now Amazon has a sale for $11.99: https://a.co/d/6gCMdX2

STAAR Test Prep (the SPARK way)

  • Sleep. It's important to be well-rested.
  • Plan a Treat. Give your student something to look forward to. Plan something special!
  • Always Eat Right. Eat a balanced breakfast and bring healthy snacks for test day. To keep energy levels up.
  • Remain Calm. You Got This!
  • Keep Dressing Comfortably. Make sure to dress in layers in clothes that are comfortable for long periods of time.
  • Stress-free. Be Confident. A positive attitude goes a long way!

Families, this is a reminder that for our attendance contests, students need to be physically present in the classroom to be considered.

AU- student is absent.

AE- student’s absence is excused.

MD- medical day, this count as present.

If the student has a doctor’s appointment and comes to school after ADA (9:30 am) with the doctor’s note, the student will be considered present for that day (MD).
